David Cordover, Founder 
Entrepreneur and Educator

David's varied business career started at age 11 with the ubiquitous lawn mowing rounds and door-to-door sales. After dropping out of Year 10 to pursue his passion for chess, he founded a string of start-ups in Education, Software, Retail, E-commerce, Health Promotion and more. 

Over the past 3 years he consulted as chief mentor for a large Indian Education Trust, working to found a K-9 Tech School with a modern pedagogy, totally different from most education in the country.

More recently David has been an Angel Investor, Mentor and Board Member and has a passion to share the knowledge, skills and attitudes he has developed over a lifetime of entrepreneurship.

Jim Schuman, Founder
Entrepreneur

Jim is a life long entrepreneur.

He has held many varied roles which have included volunteering in the United States Peace Corps, starting his own import/export business, and working in a fortune 50 technology company. 

He has studied, lived, and worked in North America, Central and South America, and the Asia Pacific region and currently calls Melbourne home.

He is married and has three children and he knows all too well the challenges and opportunities that the future holds for them. ​
And he did rent a Gorilla suit for Halloween once.

First Pivot acknowledges the traditional custodians of our land who have been learning and educating on Country for over a thousand generations. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
