How It Works
Eggs are fragile and crack when dropped. What if you could build a device that would cushion an egg so that it stayed in one piece after a fall? This is a challenge that we call the Egg Drop Challenge. Work alone or work with a friend as a team. Follow these easy steps and enter to win!
Step 1. Talk to your parents or caregiver about where you can do this challenge. You’ll need a safe place to drop an egg where it won’t hit anyone or hurt anything.
Figure out where this can happen and then get thinking about how to keep an egg from breaking.
Step 2. Design your egg drop device.
Step 3. What were your results? What kind of problem-solving did you have to do for the second drop? Create a presentation using Canva. Be sure to include the link to your video of the egg drop in the presentation!
Step 4. Register below and create a 'share' link for your Canva presentation.
All entries will go into a drawing for a $100.00 electronic voucher that can be redeemed at www.Styletread.com.au

- Decide what materials you need to built it and gather them.
- Build your egg drop device.
- Video record you and your team testing your device.
- If it worked, try dropping it from a taller height. What changes will you need to make? If it didn't work, how can you redesign so that it does?
- Record your results.
